I felt like a criminal or I was doing something terribly wrong for being First Nation shopping in this SHOE store. Why did they feel the need to follow us around the store? We were "dressed nice" I had money and we were being respectful. So why did they follow us around like they were going to catch us stealing some shoes? It was a terrible experience, but other than those two older female employees; the young cashier was nice and helpful.

When we noticed this we both knew they were following us and keeping eyes in us Because we were First Nations, this is absolutely not the first time this has happened to us. I wanted to leave but my brother needed shoes and we were trying to budget so he picked out a good pair of discounted shoes and we paid for them then left. As soon as we left I looked back and they were both watching us leave.

There are about 30 other customers in this store and you both choose to consistently ask us if we needed help? like I said no thanks, were just here trying to find good running shoes for my 10 year old brother.

My brother and I proceeded towards her when both ladies walked that way as well. We stood in front of the discounted shoes, when my gf noticed BOTH woman were in the same aisle behind us.

Had a good sale and got some decent quality shoes at a good price. The employee a little snooty.

Was not a great experience. My family and I were racially profiled. I'm a First Nation man, I work hard for my money and don't appreciate being stereotyped. Two older ladies who were obvious employees kept following us into every aisle we went into. They kept asking us if we needed help?

Like it was so important they BOTH do that in the same aisle when they have a full store, it was a busy Saturday.

My gf looked at what they were doing and literally, (I seen with my own eyes as well) they were picking up boxes and putting them back onto the shelf in the same place. They both were just grabbing the shoe box, pulling it off the shelf then placing it back.

They weren't cleaning the shelf or straightening shoes, they were watching us.

What were they thinking? We're Aboriginals so we're going to steal? We can't afford nice things?
